Courses
For whom are the WSET courses designed for?
The WSET courses are designed for those who are starting out their careers, established professionals and enthusiasts who have a passion for wines and spirits. More specifically for:
- Sommeliers
- Restaurant owners
- Retailers
- Export managers
- Wine producers
- Wine writers
- Social media managers
- Wine lovers
Which WSET course Level should I study?
WSET Level 1 is an introductory course, suited to those with no prior wine knowledge. Most students join us at Level 1, giving them the chance to become familiar with the world of wine and the WSET Systematic Approach to Wine Tasting before progressing to the more advanced Level 2 & Level 3. Level 3 is open to students who have passed Level 2 or those that can prove that they possess sufficient wine and spirits knowledge. Level 3 includes more in-depth examinations and a blind tasting. We recommend that students pass Level 2 before taking Level 3.
Will WSET Certification help my career?
WSET courses are taken by people of all ages and backgrounds. The qualifications are recognised internationally with many employers requiring applicants to be WSET certified. The WSET Diploma is also the springboard to students wishing to join the Institute of Masters of Wine programme.
